Zoe Espinoza, 29, from Austin, Texas, was born with a genetic condition called Leber congenital amaurosis (LCA) that causes degeneration in the retinas of the eye. Zoe now experiences what the World Health Organisation refers to as “profound blindness” – but that hasn’t stopped her becoming a killer at Mortal Kombat with the help of her wife Kelsey and even getting signed to an esports team.
